A day of joy and connection
June 30th was a day filled with laughter, learning, and heartwarming connections as our team shared unforgettable moments with the children of Resplandor de Vida. From vibrant VBS activities to shared meals and exciting games, the bonds of faith and friendship grew stronger.
Morning devotion and VBS fun
The day began with another refreshing team breakfast, followed by a time of devotion and reflection. Soon after, the energy shifted to excitement as we started a fun-filled Vacation Bible School (VBS) session specifically for the children of Resplandor de Vida. It was a wonderful opportunity to share David and Golith's story, a lessons of faith, and exciting activities from bracelet making to mural splatter.
Creative expressions and playful shouts
Creativity soared as the team and children collaborated on a vibrant splatter painting mural. This artistic endeavor brought out smiles and allowed everyone to contribute to a beautiful, shared piece of art. The afternoon was then filled with the joyous shouts of "Brinka! Brinka!", jumping in water bounce houses, that saw everyone laughing and playing together, strengthening the camaraderie between the American team and the students.
Evening celebrations and sweet treats
The day concluded with a delightful dinner shared with the children, fostering a sense of family and community. The excitement continued as everyone gathered to watch the Mexico soccer team play and win against Ecuador, a moment of shared national pride and joy. To top off a perfect day, we enjoyed delicious s'mores under the evening sky, creating sweet memories that will last a lifetime. Witnessing the camaraderie between the American team and the students, staff, and families of Resplandor de Vida was truly inspiring.
