June 26th: a day of dedicated service

Join us as we share a glimpse into the impactful work accomplished by our team on June 26th. From daily tasks to significant projects, every effort contributes to our mission of love and service in Juárez.

Fulfilling the day's tasks

On June 26th, our dedicated team was busy completing a variety of daily activities.

June 26

Today began with a delicious breakfast prepared by our cooks. We gathered for our morning devotional, led by Kirk.

We also had some great news—our fantastic plumber, Mike R., fixed the water issue, so we now have running water again!

The team then split into groups to tackle a variety of projects around the mission. Today's work included assembling hygiene kits, packing Dispenza food packages for distribution, painting the house on Pastor Nacho's church property, installing insulation in the cafeteria expansion, and conducting mini-split surveys.

By the end of the day, we accomplished a tremendous amount:

  • The hygiene kits were completed.
  • The Dispenza food packages were packed and ready for distribution.
  • Painting of the house at the church reached approximately 75% completion.
  • The insulation installation and mini-split surveys were completed.
  • The drywall installation began, with approximately 95% of the sheets hung.
  • The first coat of mudding was also started and reached approximately 85% completion.

It was another productive and rewarding day as everyone worked together with great teamwork and dedication. We are grateful for the progress made and look forward to continuing the work tomorrow.
