Equipping updates: June 14th

Discover the latest developments from our Mexico 2026 mission trip as we share the progress and spirit of our team on June 14th. This update reflects our journey of preparation and growth.

Building strong relationships

On June 14th, a significant focus was placed on building strong relationships within our team. We believe that a unified team, rooted in friendship and mutual respect, is essential for effectively representing Jesus Christ and His love in the communities of Juárez and Resplandor de Vida Children's Home.

Growing together as a team

The day was filled with activities designed to foster team growth and collaboration. Through shared experiences and focused discussions, we strengthened our commitment to serve with humility and compassion. This spiritual and personal development prepares us for the challenges and joys ahead.

Final preparations for departure

With our departure on June 25th fast approaching, June 14th also included crucial logistical preparations. We meticulously organized supplies, reviewed our itinerary, and ensured everything was in place for a smooth and impactful journey to serve Harvest Hands Ministries and the children of Resplandor de Vida.

We began our journey together as a team through our monthly Equipping Meetings. Starting in January, we gathered after church each month to grow together, strengthen our relationships, and encourage one another as God's servants. During these meetings, we planned the Vacation Bible School (VBS) program that we will be presenting to the children in Juárez and at Resplandor de Vida Children's Home. In May, we also served together during Serve Days by helping clean up Burchfield Park. As a team, we weeded, spread mulch, cleared trails, and completed general cleanup after the winter months. These opportunities to serve and prepare together have strengthened our unity and our commitment to sharing God's love with others.
