June 27th: A day of dedicated service

We began the day with breakfast before splitting into several teams to complete different ministry projects.
One team traveled to Pastor Nacho's church property to finish painting the house. Another team began installing the grid for the drop ceiling in the comedor on the property of Resplandor de Vida. A third team went to the colonia to minister to the community, delivering despensas (food packages) and hygiene kits to families in need.
We concluded the day with our Vacation Bible School (VBS) program on the story of David and Goliath at Noe and Suki's church. During the VBS, we served sandwiches and cookies to the children as they participated in the activities. We also distributed despensas and hygiene kits to the families who attended.
At the conclusion of the evening, we were blessed to share a wonderful meal with Noe, Suki, and the church family. It was a meaningful way to end a day filled with service, fellowship, and the opportunity to share God's love with the community.

Today was filled with vibrant activity as our team completed the paint job of Pastor Nacho's church house. This effort breathes new life into a beloved community space, providing a more welcoming and uplifting environment for worship and gathering.

Significant progress was made on the comedor room, a dedicated dining area for the students of Resplandor de Vida Children's Home and students of Instituto Harvest Hands. Our team continued with mudding and began installing the grids for the drop ceiling tiles, bringing us closer to providing a comfortable and dignified space for meals.

Reaching out in the colonia
Today marked our first day of going out into the colonia, directly engaging with the community. We had the privilege of handing out dispensa and hygiene kits, offering practical support and sharing the message of Christ's love through our actions and words. This outreach is a vital part of our mission to minister to the people and tell them about the school.
